Hit the jump for this week’s edition of Three Things I Noticed on League Pass, starring Matas Buzelis, Ziaire Williams, and Alperen Sengun.
Matas Buzelis, behind the back
Matas pulled the exact same move in back to back games, and it was really slick.
In the second clip, you can see Nikola Vucevic was extremely pumped up. I was, too.
Ziaire Williams, shot ready
Williams is one of the best reasons to watch the Nets. He’s been scorching from outside recently. Since entering the starting lineup, he's knocked down 37.5% of his 6.3 three-point attempts per night. And he's always shot-ready.
According to Second Spectrum, there are 277 players who have taken 100 or more jumpers this season, and Williams’ average touch time before shooting is 38th fastest among that group. That’s in the top 15% of all players. He’s letting it fly with freedom, and it’s working out quite well for him.
Alperen Sengun, the wave-off
Sengun is a really good player, especially on offense, but he sometimes gets a bit over-confident. Like this.
He arrogantly waves Tari Eason out of the corner so he can isolate against Wendell Carter, then thinks he’s fooling Carter by pulling up for the jumper instead of going into his post-up routine. But Carter is all over it and stuffs the shot.
Is this super meaningful? Not really. But it’s definitely pretty funny.
