He's been doing it for three years now. Game-changer. Jdub does it too (though not as well). Giddey in Chicago - same thing (maybe they all developed it in OKC during practice or something I don't know). Austin Reaves has started doing it now A LOT. It's super effective. Only a matter of time before many more scorers begin incorporating this technique I have to believe.
Yep, lots of guys use it these days. Nobody is better at it than SGA because he's able to keep the forearm tucked (most of the time) and not get called for the offensive foul. Devin Booker comes to mind as someone who does that well, too. Jayson Tatum gets called for it more than anyone because he throws the forearm too often.
Other than a lack of flying through the air for spectacular dunks, his game is a lot like Michael Jordan's. Probably too early for that comparison, but I think it's a valid one. Same size, strength, speed, quickness and competitive desire. JDub reminds me of Pippen, too. And, the army of role players around them are a lot like what those Bulls teams had. That's all. Again, way too early.
It's obviously quite soon for any of these types of comparisons, but in terms of regular-season performance, the 96 Bulls and 97 Bulls are two of the only teams close to what these Thunder are doing.
